Description
Cactus honey has a bold, earthy flavour with a peppery finish. Its dark amber colour and dense texture make it recognisable at a glance.
It comes from the arid regions of the Sahara and the Anti-Atlas, from the flowers of daghmous (Euphorbia echinus), the cactus that covers the stony slopes of the south. Our beekeepers collect it by hand, with no additives and no processing. It stays 100% pure, raw and unpasteurised.
How to use daghmous honey (cactus honey)
A spoonful in the morning, on its own or in a warm infusion. It takes ginger and lemon well. Avoid boiling water, which breaks its aromas.
Keep it away from heat and light. Do not give honey to children under 12 months.
Benefits of daghmous honey
Tradition in southern Morocco gives it a place of its own: taken on an empty stomach in winter, added to household preparations with ginger and lemon. That is what people do with it, and we report it without adding a promise.
Analysis shows a high antioxidant and phenolic content, consistent with its dark colour, and 320 kcal per 100 g. A laboratory result is not clinical proof.
Daghmous honey is a food, not a treatment. We do not claim it acts on asthma, on allergies or on any illness. If that concerns you, speak to a doctor.
