Description
Tamarisk grows on the salty soils of southern Morocco, where almost nothing else holds. It flowers only briefly, and that is what makes this honey rare. The taste is mild, faintly caramelised and woody, with a floral edge.
The honey stays 100% natural, raw and unpasteurised, jarred exactly as it leaves the hive.
How to enjoy tamarisk honey
Its mildness makes it an everyday honey: on warm bread, in yoghurt, in an infusion. It is also the one people most readily give to children over one year, because it does not sting.
Available in 1 kg and 500 g. Store away from light and humidity. Do not give honey to children under 12 months.
Benefits of tamarisk honey
This is a honey people take for pleasure rather than out of winter habit, unlike daghmous or euphorbia. In the south it goes into tea and onto the morning pancakes.
What can be measured: trace elements, antioxidants, and 320 kcal per 100 g coming from sugars. Nothing more, and that is already what makes a good honey.
Tamarisk honey is a food. It replaces neither treatment nor medical advice.
